FOSE presented African Fashion Week Houston on August 21st - 22nd, 2015



HOUSTON – On Saturday, August 22nd, the Fall of Signature Essence (FOSE) concluded a successful debut of African Fashion Week 2015 in the City of Houston with an exciting and stunning presentation of ethnic aesthetic on the runway at the official FOSE African Fashion Show, located at the Ayva Center.

The host this year was ChiChi Dike-Emeson, she currently serve as the Executive Producer of the Miss Nigeria in America Pageant and in addition she works with the MNIA foundation. The comedic trio The Wowo Boyz, along with a fusion of live music and performances was led by the electrifying and elegant presentation of 7 designers (Kachi Designs, TeKay Designs, Lucas Escalada, The Isla O Collection, Kachi Blokes'n Divas, The Ivory Collection and Angelic Reise) from across the nation who had the opportunity to present their collection to over 200 guest in attendance.

The audience was well entertained by the comedic relief of the Wowo Boyz, a powerhouse performance from Music World recording artist BLUSHHH, and a breathtaking presentation by the popular South African dance troupe, Impande Ye Africa, Live Out Loud and DJ Silent Killa.

Event Founder & Recognized Charity:

Mr. Nkem Oji-Alala, CEO of Emaginethat Entertainment and Executive Producer of FOSE, has worked for several years to bring the concept to African Fashion Week to life in the City of Houston. Reflecting on the outcome of the event, Mr. Oji stated, “A vision without a plan is only a dream." He further expressed his satisfaction with the results made from this year’s African Fashion Week in Houston, and looks forward to working with the entire FOSE organization and their supporters to evolve AFW Houston to a greater magnitude.

Proceeds raised from this year’s fashion show went to th Women's Empowerment Foundation of Houston, a 501 3(C) non-profit organization that devotes their time and energy to support and "passionately advocate the needy, hungry and the politicfally underrepresented members of out global society."
